One of my favourite indie/folk artists is the group, Tiny Habits. With their heavenly harmonies, literary lyrics, and relaxing rhythms, their music will poke you in the feels and teach you something all at once.

WHAT TO LEARN

Despite having a short set of lyrics, Tiny Habits’ song, “Landslide”, contains a variety of English language elements that you can learn and practice, including:

  • American English

  • metaphorical language

  • present simple

  • present continuous

  • past simple

  • question structures using “can”

  • one use of the verb “to get” in context

  • phrasal verbs

  • contractions

  • ellipses

  • vocabulary

    • nature

    • love

    • change

    • uncertainty

  • and much more…!
