One of my favourite books is “Annie Bot” by Sierra Greer. It is a literary science fiction/dystopia novel that tells the story of a world where robots have started to replace humans in romantic and sexual relationships. What makes this book particularly interesting, however, is that it is a coming-of-age story told from the perspective of a robot discovering its artificial intelligence. What will it do as it learns what it means to be human, and how human machines can really be? It is a speculative fiction that is not too far from our current reality.

WHAT TO LEARN

While reading “Annie Bot,” language learners can practice and learn a variety of English skills, including:
